About Amy Keir
Amy is a respected senior lawyer with significant experience in her field.
Amy spent her first 12 years of legal practice working in firms recognised for their quality and performance, before moving to the independent bar in 2017.
She has acted for a wide range of clients, including individuals, small, large, national and international businesses, government enterprises, iwi and charities. She has appeared before professional disciplinary boards, tribunals, authorities, the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal, and is experienced at mediation and alternative dispute resolution practices.
Amy is an elected member of the Canterbury Branch Council of the New Zealand Law Society and a member of the Canterbury Employment Law Committee. She regularly presents at conferences locally and nationally.
Amy is a member of the Canterbury District Liquor Licensing Committee and a former territorial legal officer in the New Zealand Defence Force.
